Night owls listen up,
Globo21 as travel guide for Mallorca.
Thanks to the long days and hot summery temperatures, open air parties and events are obligatory. On Mallorca you can let it all hang out.
Night owls get their money’s worth on Mallorca, because parties last until 8 in the morning; and at six you can already buy your first café con leche in the fisherman’s taverns. There are a lot of good restaurants in the Lonja, Santa Catalina, Molinar and the Paseo Maritimo.
Dinner time is around 21:30 or 22:00, after which people go visit some of the famous cocktail-bars (a lot of them are on the Paseo Maritimo and in the Lonja), for example in the Puro Hotel, Abaco, Bar Atlantico, Bar de la Marina, the cocktail-bar Barito, and so on. Or in the scene-pubs, for example the La Yaya, Made in Brazil, Pub Chapeau, Agua, Ambigu Bar, Garito, Moskito, Harbour Club. This goes on until two or three in the morning. After that, people normally choose a good party to their liking, because you normally won’t go dancing before three in the morning.
In Palma, there are discos like the Pascha, Azzurro Salsa, Tito’s, La Demence, Salsita-Club, Olivia Val’ere, Level Club, and so on, which only start to really get crowded around three in the morning. There, people rock to latino-rhytms, house and techno until dawn.
Since the thirties, the “Titos” is known as one of the best nightclubs and discos in all of Europe, obligatory on Sundays.
Party people go into bed and regularly get up late in the afternoon to have energy for the next long night.
The capital Palma is the hottest party-location on the island. During summer the most popular tourist destinations, most of all at the playa de pala-arenal, the Riu Palace, Magaluf and the BCM (the biggest disco on the island) have people partying until dawn.
Every bigger location has some popular hangouts, most of all for teenagers. These include village discos, which are very crowded on Fridays and Saturdays.
Of course there is one little caveat; the legal limit of alcohol is 0,05% bac, and police enforces that very strictly, especially on main-roads in the vicinity of party locations. So everyone who wants to drink and party should keep his fingers from the steering wheel. The only real alternatives are taxis or designated drivers.
Globo21 International hopes, that we could give you a good impression of the colorful hustle and bustle of Mallorca’s nightlife.
